WHY:
The Z King Studio Series comes from the “Creativity & Collection” design approach. This is the 1st drum series in China to offer the drummer a 100% real African Mahogany tone-wood enhanced bass drum shells. The player is free to choose either complete kits or shell packs for performance in any venue or for their personal collections. All of this design is to provide the drummers the best performing experience.
HOW WE MAKE IT HAPPEN:
How do we design this drum sound line? Together with Stone Custom Drum Company owner and master-builder Bernie Stone, we’ve concluded that the African Mahogany wood which is measured as softer wood type under the Janka Hardness study, provides the best bottom bass sound with power available.
Again, it comes from the “Creativity and Collection” design approach. We compliment the dark African Mahogany timbre with North American Maple outer plies for added brightness of tone. The finished shell includes a specially cut 45° degree rounded bearing edge and California, USA-made REMO® drums heads .
